Udinese will be hopeful of continuing their strong recent home form when they host bottom club Siena at the Stadio Communale Friuli on Sunday (2pm GMT).
The Bianconeri have endured a patchy season to date, but have found some semblance of consistency over the last month or so, recording four wins, two draws and one defeat in their last seven matches to move up into 10th in Serie A.
Three of those four victories came at home, where Udinese have defeated both Inter Milan and Fiorentina in convincing fashion in recent weeks.
Perennial Serie A top-scorer candidate Antonio Di Natale scored doubles in each of those wins to take his total to the season to 14, while young Colombian striker Luis Muriel has also found his feet in recent weeks, scoring in three of his last four matches.
Siena coach Giuseppe Iachini would love to be able to call on such attacking talent. His side have scored a full 12 less goals than Udinese so far this season, a statistic that contributes heavily to their position at the foot of the table, some six points from safety.
Iachini replaced Serse Cosmi in mid-December and secured his first points as Siena coach last weekend in a 1-0 victory at home to Sampdoria. That result has provided cause for optimism, although it will still take an almighty effort for Siena to beat the drop, with somewhere in the region of 22+ points likely to be required from their remaining 17 matches.
Betting Tip: Udinese have been very good at home in recent weeks, while Siena have performed terribly on their travels this season, losing seven of their ten away engagements to date.
With Di Natale and Muriel on form we expect Udinese to emerge as relatively comfortable victors and therefore suggest backing Udinese -1.5 on an Asian Handicap @ 67/40 with Bet365.
