Napoli have begun this season in fine fettle with two victories seeing them among the front runners at this early stage. They will be hoping to keep their 100% run going when they host Parma at the Stadio San Paolo (2pm BST, Sunday).
The Partenopei have managed to find the back of the net on five occasions so far, despite the big-money departure of Ezequiel Lavezzi to Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.
Marek Hamsik has continued to score from his deeper role, striker Edinson Cavani looks sharp, and the emergence of the exciting Lorenzo Insigne is set to plug the gap left by Lavezzi.
Sunday’s opponents, Parma, have one win and one defeat to their name so far, and have mildly impressed in both outings, maintaining a threat in attack and defending reasonably competently. They lack the sharp cutting edge that Sebastian Giovinco provided them with last season, but should expect to be comfortably in mid-table by the end of the campaign.
Despite a few defensive concerns – notably the number of shots on target they have conceded – Napoli are likely to have too much attacking drive for the Gialloblu to cope with, and will be confident of maintaining their strong start to the season.
