It’s the most exciting eviction yet with a full complement of housemates facing the public vote. The size of the field has resulted in some tempting prices in the Celebrity Big Brother eviction betting, but who will be next to go (on Friday night)?
Are you wondering why the whole lot of them are up? It’s a punishment after the Neighbours’ actor Ryan Moloney and ex-footballer Neil Ruddock (aka Razor) were caught discussing nomination tactics. It was Ryan who started the conversation. He should be seriously worried.
He suggested voting for the women as they will not vote for each other. His comment was played back to the whole house. Whoops. Expect him to be nominated again very soon.
The coven of mature ladies in the house smiled diplomatically and forgave him on camera but you can trust all of them to hold a king-sized grudge. It is ages since Ryan heroically unblocked disgusting pipes to restore the hot water to the house and basement. He has done very little to impress since and attracted less than 10% more votes than Sam Robertson when they went head to head in the second eviction.
Fortunately Razor, the karaoke king, looks set to stay as does the hot favourite to win, Rylan Clark, the popular but untalented X Factor contestant. The disgraced jockey Frankie Dettori and the US reality star couple Spencer and Heidi Pratt also seem safe for very different reasons.
Steps lead singer, Claire Richards, 5/1 with Ladbrokes, survived eviction on Wednesday and has been making more of an effort to be active since she was nominated by Speidi. She needed to. She has squeezed her CBB profile just above the ex-EastEnders star, Gillian Taylforth, and the ex-Heartbeat actress, Tricia Penrose.
Like Claire, Gillian and Tricia have both employed a strategy of being nauseatingly nice to everyone, providing very little in the way of entertainment for viewers. They were obviously hoping to avoid attracting nominations from housemates and have been pretty successful. Unfortunately for them, the strategy has backfired now that they are up for eviction through no fault of their own.
The 42-year-old Tricia is the favourite to leave, best priced at 13/8 with Coral. I’m not entirely sure why. She has not been more boring than Gillian and Claire. Her general profile in the media has been fairly positive. She allegedly had a go at Amy Childs for behaving like a diva when they showed up at a fashion event in the same dress. Good for her.
In contrast, 57-year-old Gillian has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past. She is the second favourite to get the boot, best priced at 10/3 with Bet365. Nineteen years ago she was caught by the police ‘performing a sex act’ (no acting was involved) on her long term partner in a Range Rover on a slip road off the A1 returning from a day at Royal Ascot (where Frankie had been riding). The Sun dished the dirt. She sued them and lost. Bad move. That sort of dirt tends to stick.
She also made a dangerous enemy. After she entered the Big Brother house, The Sun decided to tell the world about her current choice of partner, a convicted drugs baron.
CBB Eviction Betting Tips Verdict
It is definitely a tough call this week. Claire, Tricia and Gillian all appear to be vulnerable. Unlike the others, Gillian has form when it comes to failing to attract public support. In 2008, she partnered Anton du Beke in Strictly Come Dancing. She was the second person to leave the show. The public did not vote for her then, unless she does something dramatic (watch out boys), why should they vote for her now?
- At 10/3 with Bet365, Gillian Taylforth is our pick to go in the fourth Celebrity Big Brother eviction betting.
